"Hold Us Close" - AAPI+ Heritage Month

I led strategy and content production for InHerShoes’ AAPI+ Heritage Month “Hold Us Close 2021” campaign. This was the key art for the campaign. Being Filipino American myself, it was important to me to create a highly heartfelt campaign that evoked the expansiveness of our community, comfort, and safety. (CW: gun violence) A year later in 2022, the tightness in my chest grew with the compounded, heartbreaking losses of Christina Yuna Lee and Michelle Go. I updated this special piece to reflect the passing of time since the tragic 2021 Atlanta spa shootings, which killed 8 people in total, 6 of whom were Asian women. I wanted to emphasize how joy and sorrow can coexist.
